“Rainfall” (Poem)

Regret is a feeling that churns away at your stomach

The pain intensifies as you become more comfortable with it

But then, you go numb. Once you are aware of your regret, you soak in it until it turns you dry.

They say it’s never too late to say “I’m sorry,”

But everything comes with an expiration date.

Somewhere in the stars, I hope you will find me

I wish certain things didn’t belong to the past

But I can’t control that

All I have are my memories

And the rain that falls down my eyes

Every time I think of who I used to be
