I’m Going to Barcelona, Spain! Wanderlust Adventures 2020

It’s confirmed! After pondering long and hard on where I would set my sights next for an adventure, I have decided on Barcelona, Spain for the week of July 17-23, 2020.

Here are a few cool details:

So, I’ll be staying at a hostel for $322, for 7 days and 6 nights, which isn’t too bad for my budget. I chose a hostel because I figure I’d rather use my money toward experiences, rather than a fancy hotel. We will see how it goes!

Flights are currently around $467+up according to Google Flights, so that’s most likely the route I will be taking to book.

I’m going to be booking this flight ASAP – because I have a feeling it wont stay this price for too long. I will be flying out of Chicago, Illinois (although I am from Detroit), because it is significantly cheaper to do so.

Some fun activities I plan to indulge in:

Average I plan to spend on excursions: $300

Price of Barcelona Hotel: $322

Price of Flight: $476

Megabus ride from Detroit to Chicago: $13.50 RT

One night at hotel in Chicago: $136

Spending money (for cab fare, food and additional activities): avg. $500

AVERAGE TOTAL FOR ENTIRE TRIP:  1,747.50  (MAYBE LESS!)

I’m planning early, so this gives me some time to really start saving up!

I’ll continue to keep you guys posted on my trip; let me know if you have any suggestions, feedback or questions. If I can cut corners and save anywhere on my trip, please share how!

I’m excited – leggo!

Until next time 🙂
