Are You AFRAID to Succeed?

Are you afraid to succeed? Do you wonder if you will ever feel like you have succeeded in life?

Or, maybe you are a high achiever that is hard on yourself, and you expect nothing less than success. What happens when you don’t meet your own expectations? Do you count that as a failure? If so, why? Think about that.

What we all consider success will have a different meaning for each of us. Yet, one rule rings to be universal and true – GOD expects us to give our absolute best.

In my opinion, regardless of the outcome, that is the true definition of success, even when it does not feel like it.

“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 3:13-14

Sometimes, we might feel like total losers in life. We might feel like nothing ever goes our way, people don’t respect us or our feelings enough, bad things continuously happen to us and we are constantly bogged down with responsibilities and expectations that feel impossible to reach. I know, because I have experienced it from failed performance on jobs, in relationships, in my family and especially before GOD.

However, just because I may have had failed performances, does that make me a failure overall?

The answer is, no, it does not.

GOD asks us to press on, no matter what. He asks us to aim for the prize that He has already called us for. This means, it is up to us to strain towards what is already ours, despite how we might feel about ourselves in the moment. Whether or not you feel like a loser right now, GOD has directed you to keep trying. Fight.

Claim the success that rightfully already belongs to you ❤️

In our society, I feel like success is often made out to be a competition, and you can see how it affects people just by looking at social media. On social media, success is determined by how many likes, comments, views and shares one receives, while we judge each other’s clothing, homes, cars, and even relationship status. Ultimately, none of these things determine our success. Sure, they might look nice, but success is not about how good things look or even how good they feel.

Ultimately, SUCCESS is about the amount of work put in, and the wisdom gained from the outcome ✨ (Repeat that if you need to; remember it).

Simply, that’s all there is to it.

– Until next time 💃🏻
