Idiots {Poetry}

I am a believer for many reasons

I am a believer with many questions.

As I type this, I age slowly

At a fast pace

Things and life are both passing me by

And I wonder why

I can’t stop this feeling of wondering if it all really matters

Does it or not?

I google an answer to comfort my spirit

To no avail

The lagging answer in the back of my head is

Nothing matters, get real

I wonder what happens after the moment in which I breathe my last breath

These conversations are uncomfortable and scary

And for the past few weeks, they have been burning inside my mind like Hell

Is Hell real? Is that a place? Or a made up story?

I have to know what lies beyond

I am so scared of the answer being nothing

What if this universe means nothing

What if we really know nothing

About all the things we have spent millions of years

Trying to know

What if one day no one will know who we are

This universe

This life

What if…

Do I keep caring

In the search for knowledge

Or live a happy life

Like an idiot
