Are You Forgetful as F*!k?

20190108_105941_burst01~2Real quick, I just had to drop in here as I start my Tuesday.

I’m currently sitting on the couch at home, using up my employer’s PTO due to my throat being ablaze, completely on fire, and the sniffles. I hate being sick.

But, here I am, still gots stuff to do anyway. I’m about to go run some errands and had to make this list. Normal shit, right? Hahahahaha, yeah.

Literally ANYTIME I step outside my apartment to handle serious business (or, to be honest with you, even mundane tasks like going to the gas station), I had better have a “to do list” somewhere in my hand.

By the time I fasten my seat belt in the car and prepare to take off, I will have forgotten everything that I wrote down, and will have forgotten everything that I said I needed for that day.

Thanks to Bipolar disorder, which gives way to severe memory fog, paired with my depression and severe anxiety – this happens every single day, and happens to me ALL THE TIME. I forget MORE than I remember.

As I get older, I do NOT want it to get worse. I have to work overtime to maintain my brain and its basic functions. I’m determined and devoted to it.

Thus, I can remember shit like going to buy hair pudding, and car scents for my currently kinda messy car.

I’m going to talk more about Bipolar disorder and memory fog later, and the relationship between them.

  1. Girl! You are talking my language. I keep a spiral notebook on my coffee table with a pen so I can write things down so I don’t forget. I also have two calendars. One in my room and one by the back door with everyone’s appointments on them, otherwise I will forget. On top of the bipolar, depression, and anxiety, I also have ADHD. My brain is useless at any type of memory function that is current. My long-term memory is awesome though.
